My name is Chris Taylor, and I'm the pastor here at Edmison Baptist.  It’s been an exciting time of change for us here. Have you noticed that life with God is full of surprises?

Faye and I became followers of Jesus Christ in 1997 and were soon baptized.  We were forty at the time; before that our lifestyle gave little thought to giving God glory, or praise for that matter.  But, once your eyes are opened to the reality of the Holy Spirit at work in the world everything changes.  I hope we can help you in that discovery!

In 2005 I left my career as a Human Resources manager to seek a Master of Divinity degree at Tyndale Seminary, Toronto.  Further evidence that life with God is full of adventure!

I’d like to share some thoughts of my personal vision of God’s working in me:

Through life experiences, God has given me a passion to help others share in this intimate knowledge of Him.  This comes naturally within the shaping arms of a loving community of faith – one celebrating the joy of Christian spirituality.

To assist others to follow the Way, I commit to specific Life Practices:

• Live as a disciple of Christ; loving the Lord with heart, soul, and mind.
• Be 'salt and light' to the world; actively loving people in Jesus' name.
• Equip the saints to seek the Father's 'will'' and join them in His mission.
• Pray for our willingness to embrace God's Spirit as a community of faith.
• Demonstrate love of God through compassion and good stewardship.
